JoAnne Tobias is published in Diablo Magazine, SF Chronicle, Oakland Magazine and online magazines such as Authentic San Francisco and the F STOP Magazine.   In addition to editorial work, Tobias writes a wide range of copy for Next Step E-solutions and other Bay Area businesses and non-profits.

An award-winning writer, JoAnne Tobias received 2nd Place for Lifestyle Feature from the East Bay Press Club for her article on the Drama Mamas.  Tobias’ feature article about the Animal Rescue Foundation garnered national attention, winning honorable mention during Writer's Digest 75th Writing Competition.Tobias' work stood out among 19,000 entries.

In 2007, the birth of her son prompted her to create a book about the joys of parenthood.  With loving and playful essays sitting alongside photographer Mitch Tobias' stunning archive, The Four Seasons of Dorian celebrates the joys of that first special year of life with a new baby.
